Magnum Powers Raised Classic Top

NEW!! The Classic Top now comes complete with the collar nut so there is no need for a core trade-in. All you have to do is order the Classic Top, unbolt your old top and bolt on the New Classic Top on in its place.

The Thunderbird SC's stock blower outlet adaptor, commonly referred to as "The Top," was designed such that half of the outlet opening was blocked off as seen in the photo below. Magnum Powers solved this problem with the Enlarged Classic Top, which provides power you can feel making this top the most popular performance item for the Thunderbird Super Coupe or Cougar XR7 and is on hundreds of SC's cars around the country.

In Magnum Powers tradition of providing only the highest quality products the MP Classic Top is cast from 356-T6 aluminum and powder coated for a factory look, it is also available in Polished Aluminum for a custom look. Not only is the top raised but the neck is also wider for a full sized opening without the top being so tall that it would rub on the hood. If you should ever sell your SC the top can be identified as a genuine MP Classic Top by the thin "factory looking" mounting flange and tall stance.

In the photo above you can see how Ford's design (on the left) restricts the blower outlet by blocking off half of the top's outlet area resulting in lower performance.
